  • Condition: The turntable is in good operating condition and works on all speeds, 78,45 and 33. It comes with a brand new Sonotone cartridge that contains a 78 and 45 or 33 styluses. The cartridge has a mounted stylus guard which must be removed prior to usage. Condition is consistent with age (see pictures) and description below.

    Description

    For sale is a vintage Columbia turntable with a brand new (NOS) Sonotone A5 mono cartridge. Turntable is in working condition and plays 33 1/3, 45 and 78 RPM records. Also includes a 45 adapter. This is a mono turntable only, and does not contain an amplifier. The Sonotone cartridge is a very high output cartridge, and does not need equalization according to the product description, so you may be able to plug it into an AUX on a stereo or the phono input.
    The wood turntable base has some scratches and a small ding in the back (see pics). Also, when playing 33 records, the speed selector must be positioned just to the left of the 33 RPM indicator.  Please email with any questions.
