    ARTIFACT:
    This is a late 1960s pilot wing for Conair of Scandinavia Consolidated Aircraft Corporation, an airline that began operation in 1965 and merged with Scanair in 1994. The wing is embroidered in a beautiful gold bullion that is partly in a herringbone pattern, with an enameled C encircling a sun at center.
    VINTAGE:
    Circa late 1960s.
    SIZE:
    Approximately 1-1/2" in height and 4-9/16" in width.
    CONSTRUCTION/MATERIALS:
    Twill embroidered in bullion threads, plated brass with enamel, treated paper backing.
    ATTACHMENT:
    Two single screw posts with brass disc backings.
